Mangalore, March 16: Fr Denzil Lobo S J,  of Managlore is set to become the Rector of  St Aloysius Institutions at the end of April 2013. Vice-principal of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) and director of St Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT);  Fr Denzil a very amiable Jesuit seemed leasantly surprised at the news.

 

He was informed about his appointment by Provincial of Karnataka Jesuits Fr Francis Serrao, who called him from France. He has been associated with St Aloysius for a long while now and has been in the fore front in the founding of the AIMIT at Beeri (a few Km South of the City) being cited as the "XLRI" of the South. Fr Denzil has worked hard and deserves this position, historically highly respected among Mangaloreans. Fr Pradeep Sequeira is likely to replace him as administrator and finance  officer of AIMIT

It is felt that his work will be tough in the coming years. He said there is much to be done in the Jesuit institutions around Mangalore. As rector, Fr Denzil will be in charge of  about 18 schools, colleges and hostels under  St Aloysius Institutions in this region.
