Fire destroys Bombay Fashion Bazar at BC Road

Bantwal, Oct 24, 2013 : A shop at the Poonja Maidan at BC Road Kaikamba in Bantwal has been gutted in a fire on October 23, Wednesday night. The suspicion is that some persons had deliberately set the shop on fire.
The shop named ‘Bombay Fashion Bazar was owned by Bilal and Saleem. They have said there was no chance of a short circuit.The loss has been estimated at Rs 20 lakh. The entire shop was destroyed in the fire.
The owners say some of the workers who were sleeping inside the shop first noticed fire at around 1.30 am and also saw two men fleeing the place, giving suspicion that it was an act of sabotage.
A case has been registered in Bantwal police station.
