Mangalore, Nov 2, 2011: The DK Anti Corruption Forum and the Vigilance Cell of Corporation Bank jointly organized an elocution competition for MBA students at SDM BBM College on Nov 2 Wednesday. The topic was on how youth can help prevent corruption. 


Addressing the contestants, Dheeraj Hejamadi said that all the people of India are responsible for corruption because they look for easy ways out. He also said that many government officials are honest, but are unfairly labeled corrupt.

Dr. Devaraj, the principal of SDM College of business management said that corruption can be easily eliminated if everybody maintains his/her integrity and honesty. He opined that the nation is now infested with corruption simply because it is difficult to maintain personal integrity and honesty. 


The first prize, second prize, and third prize was bagged by Ankitha Shetty of Besant College, Rohit Menon, and Nelson of St. Aloysius College of Management. 


P. V. Bhat, the AGM of Corporation Bank, and T. R. Bhat, the convener of the Anti Corruption Forum and assistant general manager of the bank, were also present.
