Changes in train services to facilitate track maintenance works on Konkan Railway

Mangaluru, Jun 23, 2026: Train services on the Konkan Railway route will be affected on various days due to scheduled track maintenance works. Railway authorities have announced partial cancellations, changes in train origination, rescheduling, and regulation of services.

Partial Cancellation

Train No. 56616 Mangaluru Central–Madgaon Junction Passenger, scheduled to depart from Mangaluru Central on June 25, 2026, will be short-terminated at Karwar. Consequently, the service will remain cancelled between Karwar and Madgaon Junction.

Change in Origination

Train No. 56615 Madgaon Junction–Mangaluru Central Passenger, scheduled to commence its journey from Madgaon Junction at 2.15 pm on June 25, will instead originate from Karwar at 3.24 pm on the same day. The service will remain cancelled between Madgaon Junction and Karwar.

Rescheduled Services

Train No. 56615 Madgaon Junction–Mangaluru Central Passenger departing on June 23 will leave Madgaon Junction at 4.55 pm instead of 2.15 pm, resulting in a delay of 2 hours and 40 minutes.

The same train service on June 26 and June 28 will depart at 3.45 pm instead of 2.15 pm, causing a delay of 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Train No. 22149 Ernakulam Junction–Pune Bi-Weekly Superfast Express, scheduled to depart from Ernakulam Junction at 2.15 am on June 26, will leave at 3.15 am, one hour behind schedule.

Similarly, Train No. 11097 Pune Junction–Ernakulam Junction Poorna Express, scheduled to depart Pune at 10.50 pm on June 28, will leave at 11.50 pm, resulting in a one-hour delay.

Train Regulation

Train No. 09057 Surat–Mangaluru Junction Bi-Weekly Special Express, commencing its journey on June 24, will be regulated by 25 minutes en route due to the maintenance works.

Railway authorities have advised passengers to check the latest train schedules before commencing their journey and plan their travel accordingly.
