E-initiatives of govt- a boon to traders”

Mangalore, Feb 28, 2013 : VV Hodlur, Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes(e-governance) has said that e-initiatives of the state government has helped the traders to a great extent in carrying out their dealings or transactions.

Participating in a workshop on e-initiatives of the Commercial Taxes Department held at the KCCI Chamber hall on behalf of the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industries here on February 27, Wednesday, he said the e-initiatives was a welcome development.

He also spoke on the various e-services including E-Varadi( filing of returns), E-Sugam, E-Suvega and E-Vardhan (new registration under KVAT) and added these initiatives has helped the dealers who will not have to make visits to Commercial Tax offices frequently.

RE Thippeswamy, Assistant Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (e-governance), Department of Commercial Taxes, Bangalore, Mohammed Ameen, President, KCCI, were among those present on the occasion.
