Dharmasthala: SIT summons Thimarodi, Mattannavar and two others for inquiry on Oct 27

Beltangady, Oct 25, 2025: In a major development related to the Dharmasthala case, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has issued notices to four individuals, including Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi, to appear for questioning on Monday, October 27.

The SIT has directed Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi, Girish Mattannavar, Jayanth T, and Vithal Gowda — who are leading the movement in support of Soujanya — to appear before the Beltangady SIT office at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. The notices were issued on October 24.

The notice also mentions that failure to appear for the inquiry will lead to action under BNS Section 35(3).

SIT officials, who had earlier questioned them in connection with the drum brought by key witness Chinnayya, have now summoned them again for further inquiry.

Interestingly, the notice comes on the same day the Soujanya supporters have planned to submit a memorandum to the Beltangady Tahsildar, raising curiosity over the timing of the summons.
