Dakshina Kannada Secures Second Spot with 14 CET Toppers

Mangaluru, June 7, 2026: Dakshina Kannada emerged as one of the top-performing districts in the CET-2026 results announced on Saturday, securing the second position in the state with 14 rank holders across various streams.

The district produced four engineering toppers and one topper each in veterinary and nursing, yoga and naturopathy, and BPharm/PharmD categories. In farm sciences, six students from the district secured ranks among the top ten.

Among the achievers, Rishon Fernandes secured 10th rank in BPharm and PharmD. Rishab M. Shetty of Expert PU College, Valachil, secured 8th rank in veterinary and nursing, while Deeksha Shenoy of Expert Pre-University Science College, Kodialbail, secured 6th rank in yoga and naturopathy.

In farm sciences, Samay A.S. of Expert PU College, Valachil, secured 3rd rank, followed by Rishika K.S. (4th), Ankit Ashok Dodawad (6th), Arale Virupakshi (7th), Krutika Mallikarjun Patil (8th), and Shreya Ballal Nidamboor of Sharada PU College, Kodialbail (9th).

Several rank holders, including Rishika K.S., Krutika Mallikarjun Patil, Ankit Ashok Dodawad, Arale Virupakshi and Rishab M. Shetty, are aspiring to pursue medicine and had primarily focused on NEET preparation. Meanwhile, Shreya Ballal Nidamboor plans to pursue Computer Science Engineering and secured 54th rank in the engineering stream.

Parents and educators attributed the students’ success to consistent hard work, dedicated coaching and strong family support.
