Congress pays final respects to Bondala Jagannath Shetty

Mangalore, Aug 1, 2012 : The body of Congress leader Bondala Jagannath Shetty (38), who died in a road accident late in the night of July 31, was brought to the office of the district Congress from AJ Hospital in a decorated vehicle so that Congress workers could pay their final respects to him.

 

 

 

 

Ramanath Rai, president of the district Congress, said that Bondala Jagannath Shetty was the strength of the Youth Congress and kept encouraging youth to join the party in large numbers. Besides being an active social worker, he played an important role in keeping the youth in the party active and motivated, he said.

Vishwadas Shetty, leader of the Youth Congress, said that Mr. Shetty had inspired and guided the youth in the party.

Ivan D’Souza, KPCC secretary, said that Mr. Shetty was very active in the party and worked for the welfare of the party. He stated that Mr. Shetty has left behind a void that cannot be filled by anybody else.

A large number of Congress leaders and workers gathered at the office and offered floral tributes to Mr. Shetty.
