Cloth store manager brutally murdered in city

Mangalore, Feb 14, 2012: Four unidentified assailants stabbed a 46 year old man to death near State Bank circle in evening on Feb 14 Tuesday.

The deceased, identified as Dinesh lived on Bhavanthi Street near Central Market who was the manager of Kanchan Textiles for the past 4 months. Prior to this he worked as a chaat vendor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Four unidentified men arrived on a red Tata Sumo, entered Kanchan Textiles at 8.00pm and attacked Dinesh with a sword. Deepak Vasani, the owner of Kanchan Textiles and Vijay were also present at the time. The men also attacked Deepak when he tried to stop them. The assailants fled the scene after killing Dinesh.

Deepak said that the attackers were speaking in Kannada. Although Deepak and Vijay hail from Rajasthan, they understood what the  assailants were talking in Kannada. However, the exact relationship between the victim and his murderers is yet to be determined.

The motive for the crime is not yet known. The Pandeshwar police arrived at the spot and are currently investigating the murder.
