Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, April 30: Oscar Fernandes, the member of the Rajya Sabha and the general secretary of AICC, said that the members of the Central Minority Commission will soon arrive at Mangalore to conduct an enquiry on assault on Christian welfare organizations in Mangalore.

Referring to raids on Christian social welfare organizations and the behavior of the police, Abdul Rawoof, the former corporator, expressed his anguish and said that common people stood no chance when respectable corporators such as Lancelot Pinto had no protection.

Mr. Fernandes said that the incidents have been brought to the attention of H. R. Bharadwaj, the governor, as well as the National Minorities Commission. He said that a suitable course of action will be taken after taking everybody’s opinions.
