CPI(M) condemn delay in Sowjanya rape and murder case investigation

Mangalore, Oct 23, 2013: The members of District unit of CPI(M) staged protest front of the DC office on October 23, Wednesday condemning the delay in Sowjanya rape and murder case investigation and hand over it to CBI probe.

Addressing the protestors, CPI(M) state executive body KR Shriyan said that the delay in investigation of Sowjanya case is due to the powerful and influencial people ruling in Dharmasthala. These powers have been trying to close and taking into different direction from the beginning.

He also saiud that the Spwjanya’s family has not gained justice from past one year, due to the negligence of district police and politicians who are following the instructions of influencial people.
He also urged the governemtn to handover the case to CBI investigation to provide unbiased justice to Sowjanya and her family.

CPIM Leaders Sadashiv Das, J Balakrishna shetty, Vasudeva Shetty, Jayanthi and others were present.
