The party is ready to place the five year developmental programmes and projects of the party  before the people. The process of selecting the candidates for 8eight Vidhan Sabha constituencies in Dakshina Kannada is underway, he said.

Commenting on the recent scam involving Oil Minister M Veerappa Moily, Kottary said that it was nothing but unfortunate that Moily who was present in the oath taking ceremony conducted by Congress party against corruption, was accused  of corruption the very next day.

Kottary said Moily was involved in most of the UPA government scams like 2G Spectrum, Adarsh, CWG, coal scam, helicopter deal scam, WARDHA, Farm loan and other series of scams.  The UPA government which has suppressed the anti corruption movement of Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev is not trust worthy, he added.

He asked Janardhan Poojary to justify his  statement related to the scams and said that Congress does not have moral right  to talk about corruption.

Speaking on BJP, he said that State Government has granted the Kumki land to the farmers, a  decision which will benefit more than 3 lakh farmers of DK and Udupi districts.

BJP office bearer Prathap Simha Nayak said that the activists at the booth level will hold door to door campaign in the districts.

BJP members Devdas Shetty, Sanjeev Matandoor, Franklin Montero and Raj Gopal Rai were present at the press meet.
