Those arrested are Shafiyulla alias Auto Shafi (40) and Mohammad Imran (43) of Shivamogga. It may be recalled here that Raghu was stabbed to death near the Delhi Bazar in Kundapur on October 1 over a trivial issue. The two accused were arrested near the Shivamogga Railway Station on October 5. The court had later handed them over to police custody for three days.

As the custody period had ended, the duo were taken to the Kundapur Government Hospital for a medical check-up and then produced before the court.

A clash between Raghu and the accused after their cars brushed past each other had culminated in the murder. The accused had stabbed Raghu in his thighs. He had collapsed and died due to excessive bleeding.
