Brahmashree gold medal conferred on Prajwal Poojary

Mangalore, June 18, 2012: The Narayana Guru Yuva Vedike conferred the Brahmashree gold medal on Prajwal Poojary for securing 98.1 percent in his SSLC exams in spite of poverty on June 17, Sunday. On the same occasion, the vedike distributed free stationery and scholarships and felicitated several student achievers. The vedike arranged this program as part of its 12th annual convention.

Former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake inaugurated the event and said in his inaugural address that education is strength.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Krishna J. Palemar congratulated the vedike for working for the development of the community.

The vedike felicitated student achievers Supritha Poojary, Amitha Poojary, and Salony on this occasion. It also felicitated around 78 SSLC students and 10 PU students for scoring more than 90 percent. Besides, it distributed scholarships among 100 high school students.

A colorful cultural program formed part of the event.

Among the dignitaries on the dais were Bhavya G. Poojary, Katpady Shankar Poojary, Sumalatha N. Suvarna, Yadav Kotian, Abdul Puthige, and others.
