Belthangady: Scooter rider dies in collision with KSRTC bus

Belthangady, Sep 20, 2025: A scooter rider was killed when a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus collided with his vehicle near NC Road, close to Kavalakatte on the Bantwal-Belthangady National Highway.

The deceased has been identified as Rajesh (36), a resident of Bajire Cross Kotte in Belthangady taluk.

According to police, the KSRTC bus, traveling from Dharmasthala towards Belthangady, hit the scooter. Rajesh sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance but succumbed to his injuries en route.

The incident is being investigated by SI Rajesh of Punjalkatte police station, who visited the scene and registered a case.
