Mangaluru, Feb 6, 2026: The Tulu film Non Veg, produced by Prakash Pandeshwar under the Jayakiran Films banner and directed by K Suraj Shetty, was released at Bharath Cinemas and theatres across coastal Karnataka on Friday.
Senior advocate Mayurakeerthi inaugurated the release by lighting the ceremonial lamp and wished the team success. Praising producer Prakash Pandeshwar, he expressed hope that Non Veg would complete 100 successful days, following the legacy of Chalipolilu.


Tulu Drama Artists’ Association president Kishore D Shetty said the film was impressive and appealed to audiences to support it. Actor Naveen D Padil described Non Veg as a family-oriented film suitable for all age groups and urged Tulu cinema lovers to watch it.
The film, made entirely with coastal talent, is expected to make a strong impact with its unique storyline and social message. It explores youth issues, love, and societal taboos through humour, while focusing on an innocent young man’s search for love. The makers say the film blends entertainment with a positive message and is suitable for family viewing.
Several artistes from Su From So feature in the film, including Prakash Tuminadu, Pushparaj Bollur, Deepak Rai Panaje, Mime Ramdas, Vismaya Vinayak, and Roopa Varkady. Actress Sanjana Burli plays the female lead, while Naveen D Padil and Atharva Prakash appear in key roles.
Director Suraj Shetty said the story and message are conveyed through humour, portraying the curiosity and confusion of youth in an engaging manner. Producer Prakash Pandeshwar said the film is aimed at winning the hearts of young audiences and offers a refreshing break from repetitive themes.
The release event was attended by Tulu Film Producers’ Association president R Dhanaraj, producers Mukesh Hegde and Prakash Pandeshwar, Virat Gowda, Arjun Kapikad, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, former CATK president Pammi Kodialbail, Ashwini Prakash, Ismail Moodushedde, and others.
Ticket prices at multiplexes have been fixed at ₹99. Non Veg has been released at Roopavani, Bharath Cinemas, PVR and Cinepolis in Mangaluru; Cine Galaxy in Surathkal; Bharath Cinemas in Padubidri, Manipal, Puttur and Kundapur; Kalpana and Bharath Cinemas in Udupi; Planet in Karkala; and Bharath Theatre in Beltangady.
