Belthangady: Cops arrest drawing teacher after SSLC student who attempted suicide dies

Belthangady, Feb 13, 2024: An SSLC student who was in a critical state after she reportedly attempted suicide by consuming poison has died in a hospital in Bengaluru. The drawing teacher of her school Roopesh has been arrested by the police for instigating the suicide after reportedly sending a derogatory message regarding the student to another classmate.

The deceased girl is Trisha (16), daughter of Kishore-Sowmya couple of Pijathadka in Dharmasthala. She was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru on February 7 and was later shifted to the Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru for higher treatment.

She was the student of a private school and had reportedly made unnecessary allegations against Trisha through a message to another student.

Dharmasthala Police are investigating the case.
