Belthangady, December 20, 2025: Chinnayya, who was recently released from prison in connection with the Dharmasthala case, has filed a complaint at the Dharmasthala Police Station against Mahesh Shetty Timarodi, Girish Mattanavar, YouTuber Sameer M.D., and three others.

Chinnayya, claiming concern for his and his family’s safety, stated in the complaint that the accused—who are supporters of Soujanya—could threaten his life and that of his family. He has requested police protection.

Chinnayya, who had been in jail as an accused in the Dharmasthala case, was released from Shivamogga Central Prison on December 18. Around 8 p.m. that evening, he, along with his wife Mallika and sister Ratna, approached the Dharmasthala Police Station to lodge the complaint.

In his complaint, Chinnayya stated that Mahesh Shetty Timarodi, Jayanth T., YouTuber Sameer M.D., Vitthal Gowda (Soujanya’s uncle), Girish Mattanavar, and their associates could threaten him and his wife Mallika (Nagamma). He urged the authorities to take appropriate legal action and provide protection to prevent any harassment.

Belthangady police have registered the complaint. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dakshina Kannada, Dr. Arun K., stated that further legal action will be taken in the matter.
