Bantwal: One more arrested in Abdul Rehman murder case, total arrests reach 11

Bantwal, July 22, 2025: Police have arrested another suspect in the brutal murder of Abdul Rehman and the attempted murder of Kalander Shafi, which occurred in Kolatthamajalu under the Bantwal Rural Police Station limits.
The accused has been identified as Shahith alias Sahith (24), a resident of Ammunje village. His arrest brings the total number of people taken into custody in connection with the case to 11. He was produced before the court and has been remanded to police custody for further investigation.
The incident took place on May 27, when Abdul Rehman was hacked to death by a group of known individuals wielding lethal weapons. His friend Kalander Shafi, who was with him at the time, sustained critical injuries. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the assault.
