Bajrang Dal to hold Bike rally against Valentine’s Day celebration

Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, Feb 8, 2012: Addressing reporters at a press meet held at Press Club on Feb 8 Wednesday, Sharan Pumpwell, the division convener of Bajarang Dal, Mangalore, said on behalf of his organization that the transfer of SI Dinakar Shetty of Bajpe is a conspiracy and that lathis were not used on school children.

Further, he said that the police had not used lathis on a group of school children who were demanding the construction of a speed breaker in front of their school on Jan 16. Although none of the kids were hurt, the organizers of the protest had admitted some of them into the hospital to blow up the issue.

Stating that SI Dinakar Shetty prevented a communal riot by interfering in time, he said that transferring such sincere police officers just because of political pressure is not right.

He also warned that the Bajrang Dal and the VHP will hold an intense protest if the transfer order is passed.

Valentine’s Day
Regarding Valentine’s Day, he said that the Bajrang Dal and the VHP will organize a bike rally on Feb 13 Monday to create public awareness on Valentine’s Day.

He also said that they will submit a memorandum to the district administration, urging it to close all parties by 11:00 p.m. and cancel permits to pubs and DJ’s on Feb 14.

Porn Scam
Speaking on the occasion, Jagadish Shenava, the district vice president of VHP, said that the VHP and the Bajrang Dal demands strict action against the ministers caught watching sex clips on their mobile phones in assembly, but will hold no protest as District-in-charge Minister Palemar has already resigned.

Mahesh Bhat, Sharath Padavinangady, Jeevan Neermarga, Praveen Mudigere, and others were present.
