Mangalore, May 19, 2010: Bajaj Auto launched the brand new Discover 150, which promises “More Excitement Per Litre” and offers an exciting ride feel, features, mileage, and value proposition in Hyderabad on May 10. Discover 150 is the first bike in the commuter sports segment, which offers the utility of a commuter bike along with the performance, style, and features of a sports bike.

 

The new 150cc 13 PS DTS-i-engine presents amazing power and pickup in addition to excellent on-road mileage of 65 kmph, which is equal to most 100cc bikes. The new bike is a fabulous combination of power and mileage. 

Some of the top features of the new Discover 150cc are a 5 speed gear box, electronic start, nitrox suspension for high level comfort on rough roads, disc brake, and wider-rear tyres for better grip. 

During the launch, GM (marketing) of Bajaj Auto Mr. Milind Bade said: “Discover 100 took the market by storm with its launch last July. In this short span of time, Discover 100 is already one of the largest selling models in motorcycle marketing with current volumes averaging 75,000 pm. With the new Discover 150, we are instilling a fresh momentum and adding riding excitement to the overall Discover portfolio.” 

Discover 150 can be purchased for Rs 46,000. The bike will be launched phase-wise all over the country. The bike is future proof and adheres to the latest BS III emission norms. 

Discover is one of the largest selling brands in the Indian motorcycle market. Currently, there are more than 650,000 Discover 100 owners.
