Mangalore, June 14, 2013: BJP leader and former district in-charge minister CT Ravi has said that the BJP will correct its mistakes in the next elections.
Speaking to reporters at the District BJP office on June 14, Friday, Ravi said the party expected to win at least four seats in the district and added the results were unexpected. Citing reasons for the defeat he said an anti-BJP lobby coupled with vote divide and some unwelcome incidents at the state level led to the BJP debacle.
At the same time he said he was satisfied with his performance as district minister and had responding well to the problems of the people.
He was critical of the state government for its decision on the Cow Slaughter Prevention Bill and added this would encourage cattle thieves.
Ravi also lashed out at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for his statement that KJ George has been appointed home minister to restore the confidence of minorities.
On Narendra Modi’s appointment as BJP Election Campaign Committee Chairman, Ravi said the nation leaded a good leader like Narendra Modi who can take the nation on the path of progress as in Gujarat.
The elections to select office bearers for various committees of the BJP at the regional and district level is scheduled for June 15, Ravi informed.
