BJP’s only achievement is corruption - MLA U. T. Khader

Mangalore, February 24: Declaring that the BJP-led state government’s only achievement during its 1000 days in power is corruption, MLA U. T. Khader challenged CM B. S. Yeddyurappa to list out his achievements. He was addressing reporters at a press conference held at the office of the district Congress on Wednesday.

 

Further speaking on the matter, he said that the BJP celebrated the completion of 100 days, one year, and 2 years in power, adding that it is now celebrating its 1000 days in power. He also said that he hasn’t seen the BJP introducing any pro people programmes in the government, adding sarcastically that it is only busy with celebrations.

The MLA pointed out that the state government has neither allotted a single site for anybody within the state nor built a single educational institution and said that, in spite of this lack of achievements, the CM claims that the state occupies the first place for development in the entire country.

Khader also said that the state government cannot claim enlargement of budget size and fund allocation as achievements because they are annual phenomenon, adding that the programmes announced in the budget need to be successfully implemented.
