Mangalore,May 31, 2013 : Father Muller Hospital at Thumbay in Bantwal, will be inaugurated on June 2, Sunday. The 100-bed Hospital formerly known as B.A. Hospital, was taken over by Fr Muller Charitable Institutions and has been under the new management since May 1. The formal inauguration will take place on June 2, informed Fr Richard Coelho, Administrator of Fr Muller Medical College and Hospital.
Speaking to reporters here, he said the Hospital has been taken over at a cost of Rs 18 crores.The hospital is equipped with state-of-the art facilities including full-fledged operation theatre, labour theatre.
ICU ventilator and central oxygen facility, fully equipped medical lab, colour Doppler with Echo, Electro Cardiography and treadmill, X-ray, 24 hour medical store, ambulance service etc. The hospital also has a mortuary.
The various departments in the hospital include, General Medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pediatrics, physiotherapy, ENT and dental clinic.
Rev. Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore, will preside over the inaugural function. B Ramanatha Rai, State Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment and District in-charge Minister, UT Khader, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare, JR Lobo, MLA and B Ahmed Haji Mohiuddeen, founder and Chairman of BA Group, Thumbay will be the chief guests, informed Fr Coelho.
Fr Rudolph D’Sa, Administrator, FMCI, Dr Sanjeev Rai, Chief Medical Services Officer were also present.
