Mangaluru, September 3, 2023: Anant Nag celebrated his 75th birthday and 50 years in the field of acting with a grand event organized by the Kudla Cultural Foundation and the Anantanag Abhinandana Samithi in Mangalore on Sunday.
The celebration commenced at Kenara High School in Dongarakeri, where Anant Nag and his wife paid their respects by garlanding the statue of Ammembal Subbarao Pai, recognizing his significant contributions to education and banking.
Following this touching tribute, Anant Nag and his wife embarked on a procession in an exquisitely adorned chariot, commencing at Canara High School, Dongarakery, and culminating at the T.V. Ramana Pai Convention Hall in Kodialbail. Enthusiastic fans thronged the route, setting the scene with rhythmic drumbeats, vibrant tiger dances, and children dressed as iconic characters portrayed by Anant Nag throughout his illustrious film career.
In the morning, under the leadership o MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Aanthnag and his wife Gayathri Nag inaugurated the event by kindling the ceremonial lamp. This auspicious beginning paved the way for an engaging panel discussion featuring prominent figures such as Kasaragod Chinna, Dinesh Mangalore, Lakshman Kumar Mallur, and Sadasiva Shenoy Sampamool.
The event was gracefully hosted by Manohar Prasad, making it an unforgettable celebration of Anant Nag’s remarkable journey in the world of entertainment.
