Mangalore, Jan 30, 2014:  There is ample scope for business development in the city of Mangalore, said John McCaslin, Counselor for Commercial Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi.

Participating in an interaction programme on the American Business Corner (ABC) programmes at the Kanara Chamber of Commerce of Industry Meeting Hall here on January 29, Wednesday, he said the American Business Corner in Mangalore is enjoying a very favourable response since the past one year.

 

 

 He also informed that such centres were operative at 12 places in the nation.

James P Golson,   South India Commercial Counsellor of the US embassy in Chennai who also spoke, said the ABC was keen on promoting industries in tier-II cities  of the nation including  metropolitan cities.

Dr Sameer Degan, Chairman of National Association of Corrosion Engineers,  Mehanaz Ansari,  India representative of US Trade and Development Agency.  Mohammad Ameen, KCCI Chairman.  Nigam B Vasani, Vice President of KCCI, Rammohan Pai Maroor, Jeevan Saldanha, Ganesh Prabhu, Secretaries and others were present.
