Moodbidri, Jan 10: Eminent entertainment groups from all over the nation such as Prince Dance Group, Blendz Musical Troupe, Langa’s, and Aslam Khan’s Troupe presented the choicest of musical performances before a captivated audience on the last day of Alva’s Virasat 2010.

The first half of the dance performance presented by Prince Dance Group illustrated patriotism; and the second half was based on the avatars of Lord Krishna. The silver-painted bodies of the artists captured the audience’s attention.

The Blendz Troupe from Kolkata presented a fusion of popular Bollywood hits such as “Chandan sa Badan,” and “Janak Janak Bole Bhaje Payaliya” in the style of Raaga Ramani, and the song “Yaad Piya Ke Aaye” in the style of Raaga Hemanth. The song “Piyare” thrilled the audience.

Aslam Khan’s Troupe presented the “Langa” with a group of Jodhpuri singers who sang popular numbers such as “Kesariya Balam,” “Mehandi,” “Pallo Latke,” “Nimbooda Nimbooda,” and others.


The Lokmanya Tilak Team of Madhya Pradesh, presented the “Mallakambha.” This team comprised students from Std V to Pre-university College. The team’s presentation of bottle mallakambha with 28 bottles, rope mallakambha, and hanging mallakambha made the audience speechless.


Just before the valedictory ceremony, the Puruliya Chavo Dance Team of West Bengal presented “Mahishasura Mardhini,” a Bengali play.


M Mohan Alva, the president of Alva’s Education Foundation, honored all the artists.
