Aishwarya, Shilpa to attend World Bunts Day in Mumbai on April 14

 Mangalore, Mar 21, 2013  :  Bollywood stars Aishwarya Rai and Shilpa Shetty of Mangalorean origin will be gracing the World Bunts Day programme to be held at the Buntara Bhavan, Mumbai, under the aegis of the Bunts Sangha, Mumbai on April 14.

 

This was informed by Shanker B Shetty, President of Bunts, Sangha Mumbai, at the  AB Shetty Hall here on March 20.

He said the Sangha has a history of 88 years  and will be celebrating World Bunts Day to coincide with Bisu Parba. Shetty further informed that  a convention to be held on the occasion will be attended by chiefs of over  100 Bunts associations.

As part of the event, there will be an industrial exhibition, while an exhibition cum sale of sarees and diamonds will be the special attraction. A variety of cultural programmes will also be organised.

The Sangha will also distribute  educational aid  of Rs one crore among needy  Bunts students interested in pursuing higher education.

Bunt leaders Ajith Kumar Rai, and Amarnath Shetty also spoke on the occasion. General Secretary CA Sadashiv B Shetty, Vice President Karnire Vishwanath Shetty, Sathish N Shetty, Ulthur Mohandas Shetty and other office bearers  were present.
