African Swine Flu cases detected near Perla

Kasargod, Jan 12, 2023: African Swine Flu cases have been reported at Katukukke near Perla in Kasargod district. Following this, the authorities have banned sale of pork for three months in a ten km radius of the pig farm where the cases were reported. Even transportation of pork and other meat products from this farm have been banned.
The authorities have also decided to cull pigs in a one km radius from the farm where the swine flu cases were detected. A Rapid Response team has been formed for the purpose.
