30 year old surgeon drowns in sea at Someshar Rudrapade

Mangaluru, Sep 04, 2023: A doctor who was part of a five member team of doctors who had come to the sea shore near Someshwar Rudrapade late night on September 3, Sunday, reportedly drowned.

The deceased is Dr Ashik Gowda (30) hailing from Ramanagar in Bengaluru. He was a surgeon at a hospital in Mangaluru. The body was traced on Monday morning.

Late night on Sunday, Dr Ashik along with Dr Pradeesh, a surgeon of Kundapur origin and  lady doctors doing internship, had come to the beach.

It is said Dr Pradeep fell after slipping from a rock. When Dr Ashik tried to look what happened, he too slipped and drowned. Dr Pradeep on the other hand managed to reach ashore safely.
