‘MRPL Karnataka Rajyotsava Award 2013’ to be conferred on Dr Roddam Narasimha

Mangalore, Dec 14, 2013: Sudarshan, deputy general manager of MRPL said that renowned scientist Padmavibhushan Dr Roddam Narasimha has been selected for ‘MRPL Karnataka Rajyotsava Award -2013’.

Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Dec 14, Saturday, he said that P.P.Upadhya MD MRPL will confer award on Dr Roddam Narasimha in presence of Vishnu Agrawal Director (Finance), V G Joshi Director Refinery and Y Ravindranath in a glittering function to be held at MRPL club Lawn as part of Nada Habba-2013 on Dec 15, Sunday.

The award comprises of citation and cash prize of Rs 25,000, he said.

The program will be followed by a musical concert “Sangeeta Sampada” by Smt M D Pallavi and team.

MRPL has been observing Karnataka Rajyotsava since several years and has been promoting Kannada culture and language through various activities. Several competitions are being conducted for employees and their family members in connection with this event.

Earlier this award has been conferred on eminent personalities like Nagatihalli Chandrashekhar, Dr. M. Mahadevappa, Dr. Jayant Kaikini, Dr. Amrut Someshwar, Balipa Narayana Bhagavat and Vidwan Srinath Marathe.
