Mangalore Today News Network

Chennai, Oct 14, 2020: On October 13, bomb threats were issued to Tamil stars Dhanush and Vijayakanth’s residences in Chennai. The police officials immediately searched their houses and found it be a hoax. The police control room received a call from an anonymous person twice stating that bombs have been placed in Dhanush’s Abhiramapuram house in Chennai and Vijayakanth’s house in Virugambakkam.

Police immediately rushed to their residences and conducted search operations. Later, they found the calls to be fake.

After the search operations, the police found that both these calls were made by the same person. Reportedly, the person escaped from the police. Soon, they will be arresting him for causing inconvenience.

For the past couple of months, bomb threats to actors in Kollywood have increased. Earlier, Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith and Suriya received fake bomb threat calls. However, police found that these calls were made by a mentally-ill person.

On July 18, the police conducted a search operation after receiving a call from an anonymous person about the presence of a bomb in actor Ajith’s house in Injambakkam. The bomb squad officers searched the entire house and called it a hoax.

At the time of writing this story, the police officials did not confirm if the calls to Dhanush and Vijayakanth’s houses were made by the same person or not.
