Youth Congress proud of newly elected young corporators: Mithun Rai

Mangalore, March 12, 2013:  District Congress Committee had fielded 12 youths candidates,  of whom nine have come out successful by winning election the MCC elections, said District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai.

 Speaking at the Congress election publicity office at Nanthoor on Mar 12, Tuesday, he said that   most of the victorious Congress corporators this time were first timers. He said the youth in the Congress party will further work at grass root level to win in all the eight constituencies in the district in the ensuing assembly elections.

 

Congress’s Youth icon Rahul Gandhi has cast a magical spell and has attracted several youth towards the party, Mithun claimed and added  the communal tension which the district has been experiencing in the past few years was the main reason behind the youth drifting towards the Congress.

He said T Praveenchandra Alva, AC Vinayaraj, Rajaneesh, Sumeyya, Prakash B Salian, Abdul Latif, Kavitha Sanil, Sabitha Misquith and Akhil Alva are the youth Congress leaders, who won the MCC elections.
