Vittal, July 24, 2025: A man who had been absconding for 12 years has been arrested by the police.
The arrested accused has been identified as Satya alias Satish (42), a resident of Peruvai village, according to the police.
He was wanted in two cases registered at the Excise Enforcement and Lottery Prohibition Wing Police Station — case numbers 40/2012 and 87/2012 — under Sections 32 and 34 of the Karnataka Excise Act. Satya alias Satish had been evading arrest since 2012.
He was finally arrested on July 23 by the CEN Crime Police Station officers in Hebri, Udupi district, and produced before the court.
