Mangaluru, Nov 16, 2025: A colourful and grand procession was organised on Saturday as part of the 72nd All India Cooperative Week celebrations under the leadership of the Karnataka State Cooperative Federation Ltd., Bengaluru; Karnataka State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd., Bengaluru; and the Dakshina Kannada District Central Cooperative Bank (DKCC Bank), Mangaluru. The event was supported by the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi District Cooperative Union, Dakshina Kannada Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union, Navodaya Grama Vikasa Charitable Trust, agricultural credit cooperative societies, urban cooperative banks, Souharda cooperative societies, and various other cooperative organisations along with the Department of Cooperation.







The procession was inaugurated in the DKCC Bank premises by G.T. Deve Gowda, President of the Karnataka State Cooperative Federation, in the presence of Speaker UT Khader and Dr. M.N. Rajendra Kumar, Chairman of South Canara District Central Cooperative (SCDCC) Bank.
Beginning from the bank premises, the vibrant parade featured an array of tableaux, cultural performances, cooperative-theme displays, and participation from self-help groups and members of several cooperative institutions. The procession highlighted the diversity and strength of the cooperative movement in the region.
A host of dignitaries attended the celebration, including MLA Vedavyas Kamath, MLC Ivan Dsouza, Dr. Manjunath Bhandary; DKCC Bank Vice-President Vinay Kumar Surinje; directors Ikkala Devi Prasad Shetty, Jayaraj Rai, Monappa Shetty Ekkar, Bhaskar S. Kotyan, Sadashiva Ullal, and Shashi Kumar Rai Balyottu; CEO Gopalakrishna Bhat; Dakshina Kannada Milk Producers’ Union President Raviraj Hegde; SCADS President Ravindra Kambli; Deputy Registrar of Cooperation Ramesh; Assistant Registrar of Cooperation (Puttur) Raghu and several others.
