Udupi: Lokayukta raids Kaup Urban Planning Authority over pending public interest files

Udupi, December 19, 2025: The Lokayukta conducted a raid at the Kaup Urban Planning Authority, with officials from the Udupi district Lokayukta carrying out an inspection.
The raid was carried out following allegations that files related to public interest matters were not being disposed of. Beginning from the morning of December 18, a team of Lokayukta police examined records and investigated complaints regarding the pendency of public interest applications.
Similar allegations had earlier been raised during a public grievance meeting in Kaup. Acting on public complaints, the Lokayukta continued the operation. The raid was led by DYSP Halamurthy Rao and Inspector Manjunath.
