Udupi, January 3, 2026: A car that went out of control while being reversed rammed into a two-wheeler and an auto-rickshaw before crashing into a shop near the Irody Building, close to Jamia Masjid in Udupi.
The incident occurred when a car parked at the Irody Building was being taken in reverse. The driver lost control, and the car moved backward at high speed toward Parivar Sweet Shop. As a result, it collided with a bike and an auto-rickshaw that were traveling from City Centre Road toward Sanskrit College.
The bike rider and the auto driver were injured in the accident. After that, the car hit vehicles parked along the roadside and finally crashed into a chips shop. The terrifying accident was captured on CCTV.
