Spice Jet introduces daily flights between Mangalore and Mumbai

Mangalore, Feb 2, 2012 : Spice Jet launched the operation of a daily flight between Mumbai and Mangalore on Feb 1 Wednesday.

 

Mangalore Airport Director M. R. Vasudeva said that the first flight landed at Mangalore on Wednesday at 11:55 a.m. with 78 passengers and took off to Mumbai at 12:25 p.m. with 100 passengers.

Speaking about the flight schedule, he said that flight will take off daily at Mumbai at 10:25 a.m. and will return to Mumbai at 1:55 p.m. The same flight will take off at 2:35 p.m. and will land at Surat at 3:20 p.m. and it will take off again at 4:05 p.m. to reach Delhi at 5:45 p.m.

The flight will again take off from Delhi at 6:25 a.m. and will land at Surat at 8:05 a.m. It will take off at 8:35 a.m. to reach Mumbai at 9:20 a.m. and will take off from Mumbai to Mangalore at 10:25 a.m.

Since Spice Jet has one daily flight, Jet Airways has two flights, and Air India has one flight, Mangalore Airport will have a total of four flights to Mumbai, he said.

He also said that Kingfisher, which had suspended its services from Mangalore to Mumbai, plans to re-launch them from March 25, 2012. This flight will land at Mangalore at 2:10 p.m. and will take off at 2:20 p.m., he said.
