Mangaluru, June 02, 2023: Close on the heels of the police making a few arrests in connection with the immoral policing incident at the Someshwar beach on June 1, Thursday evening, several Hindu organisation leaders have rushed to the Ullal Police Station and held talks with the police officials. They alleged that innocents have been arrested in the case.

BJP leader Satish Kumpala, VHP and Bajrangdal leaders arrived at the station and held talks with City Police Commissioner Kuldeep Kumar Jain who had visited the station to take stock of the situation.

The Hindu leaders also demanded the release of those arrested and claimed they were innocents.

Responding to the demand, the Commissioner said only those responsible for the incident will be arrested and assured release of those who are found to be not involved in the incident.

Later, speaking to reporters, Satish Kumpala said the question whether those arrested are Hindu activists or not does not arise and that they visited the station following the request of the family members of the arrested youth.
