Mangalore, Feb 10: Sagar Ratna, the signature vegetarian restaurant at Hotel Ocean Pearl has launched a two-week Rajasthani Food Fest from Feb 10.

Nagarajan J. Udupa, the vice president of Sagar Ratna Groups of Hotels Pvt. Ltd., told reporters at a press conference held at Sagar Ratna on Feb 10, Thursday that mouth-watering vegetarian dishes prepared by famous Rajasthani chefs will be displayed at this festival. The color, spirit, and folk art of Rajasthan will be the highlights of this event, he said.


Mr. Udupa said that a wide range of Rajasthani vegetarian dishes will be presented, including starters such as Raj Kachori and Jali Samosa; main course items such as Dal Bati Churma, Paneer Long Latha, Rajasthani Kadi, Ker Sangri, and Gatta Curry; and many more. Choice Indian breads such as Thepla, Bajra Roti, Bikaneeri Paratha will be on display; and deserts such as Marwardi Burfi, Badam Ki Roti, Churma Ladoo, Malpova, Ghevar with Rabdhi, and others will be presented.


Mr. Udupa also said that the Sagar Ratna Group plans to organize similar food festivals featuring local delicacies from other parts of the country and the world in future.
