Mangaluru: Mother–daughter clash outside Moodushedde Gram Panchayat office; complaint filed

Mangaluru, December 3, 2025: A case has been registered at Kavu Police Station against a 35-year-old woman, Netravathi, for allegedly assaulting her 65-year-old mother, Nirmala, at Moodushedde Gram Panchayat limits.

According to a complaint filed by Ramitha Suryavamshi, the divisional president of the Hindu Mahila Samrakshana Vedike, the police have registered the case.

She stated that videos of the daughter assaulting her mother near the Moodushedde Gram Panchayat office around 1 pm on November 25 were circulating on social media. The videos came to her notice at around 11 am on November 29.

Upon inquiring at Kavu Police Station, she learned that no complaint had been filed regarding the incident. Therefore, on December 1, Ramitha Suryavamshi submitted a complaint requesting action against the accused daughter and also sought information about the condition of the assaulted mother.
