Mangaluru, Nov 07, 2023: The SIRC of ICAI had organized a one of its kind “Coastal MSME and Start up conclave 2023” on 4th November, 2023 at Fr L F Rasquinha Hall, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Light House Hill, Mangaluru, Karnataka 575003. This programme was hosted in association with St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangalore Branch of SIRC of ICAI and in the main sponsorship of Union Bank Of India.

 

The “Awards Night” was held at 06:30 pm (with Business Excellence Awards in 20 sectors) to recognize 30 MSMEs and Startups who have excelled in their respective fields through innovation, leadership, dedication and commitment and were awarded accordingly. The Award Night was also featured with many cultural performances by the students of St Aloysius College.

The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Renu K Nair, Zonal Head, Union Bank of India, Zonal Office, Mangalore. Reverend Father Melvin Joseph Pinto SJ, Rector, St. Aloysius Institutions inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. CA Pannaraj S, Chairman, SIRC of ICAI, CA Geetha A B, Vice Chairperson, SIRC OF ICAI, Jayanagaraja Rao S, GM, Karnataka Bank,  Joby Jose, DGM, SBI, Mangalore . Mahesh J, DGM, Union Bank of India, Zonal Office, Mangalore, Sucheth D’Souza, Zonal Head, Bank of Maharashtra, Hubli Zone, Abhithabh Dixit, Zonal Head, ICICI Bank, Zonal Office, Mangalore, Anil Lobo, Chairman, MCC Bank, Mangalore and other dignitaries were present.

The conclave was attended by Chartered Accountants, Academicians, Faculty and Students of Management, Engineering and Commerce Colleges, MSME Entrepreneurs, Start-ups, Bankers, Professionals, Aspiring Entrepreneurs, Retailers and Wholesalers, Educational Institutions from coastal districts of Karnataka like Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts. A large number of participation was seen.

The program was sponsored by Union Bank of India as the main sponsor and co-sponsored by the leading banks of the country such as State Bank of India, Karnataka Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, Canara Bank, SVC Cooperative Bank, MCC Bank  and MRPL.
