Puttur, Feb 10, 2026: Notice has been issued to Ajith Rai Hosamane, a Hindu organisation leader from Puttur, directing him to appear for a hearing related to a proposed externment order.
A proposal has been submitted seeking the issuance of an externment order against Ajith Rai Hosanamane, a resident of Hosamane in Innomogru village of Puttur taluk, under Section 55 of the Karnataka Police Act, 1963, to extern him from Dakshina Kannada district. In this connection, a hearing will be held on February 25 at the Assistant Commissioner’s court hall.
The notice states that Ajith Rai may appear in person or through a lawyer to present his arguments. It has been cautioned that if he fails to appear, it will be presumed that he has no interest in the matter, and a decision will be taken ex parte based on the available information.
