Mangaluru, Jul 25, 2026: The Karnataka government has appointed Rahul Ratnam Pandey as the new Commissioner of the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) as part of a statewide administrative reshuffle.
According to the government order, Rahul Ratnam Pandey, a 2018-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the MCC Commissioner with immediate effect.
Prior to this appointment, he was serving as the Managing Director of the Karnataka State Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (KSMSCL).
Pandey replaces Ravichandra Nayak (KAS), who has been transferred. The Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) has issued orders implementing the transfer and new appointment with immediate effect.
The appointment has raised expectations that civic services, infrastructure development, sanitation, monsoon management, and various urban development projects in Mangaluru will receive renewed focus and momentum under the new administration.
