Mangalore, Mar, 25, 2013 : The pre-paid autorickshaw counter at the Mangalore Central Railway Station, which had shut doors a couple of months ago, has resumed services on March 25, Monday.
The Counter will be open from 7 am to 8.30 pm and will have two staff. Jayaprakash Shetty, President of the Auto Rickshaw unit of DK unit of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike has said that the Association would supervise the counter with the help of RTO and the police.
Two other pre-paid auto counters are also operating in Mangalore at KSRTC bus stand and at Kankanady junction railway station.

KUDOS to the concerned! I pray that at least now this facility will function well for a long time to come! All the previous ones never functioned properly and was operational only for short spells. The authorities should take steps to monitor the working and see that no external interference will creep in! ALL THE BEST TO RAIL PASSENGERS!-ijss. |
