Mangalore, Jan 10, 2012: Seemanth Kumar Singh, the Mangalore police commissioner, said at a press conference on Jan 10 Tuesday that the police department has made elaborate security arrangements for the 17th National Youth Festival, which is scheduled to be held in Mangalore from Jan 12.

He said that traffic movement will be restricted at certain areas and several roads will be closed to the public to reduce the flow of traffic. During daytime, MG Road will be closed to users, to make it easy for participants to reach the TMA Pai Convention Centre, the venue for some of the competitions of the youth festival.
