Police Commissioner visits Koragajjana shrine ; assures to trace culprits soon

Mangaluru, Jan 20, 2021:     City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar on January 20, Wednesday visited the  Koragajja and Guligajjana Katte at Ullal where miscreants had resorted to   unwelcome acts by  dropping  posters  with defaced images of political leaders and also a condom. The incident had come to light   last night following which a complaint was lodged at Ullal Police station.

 

Speaking during his visit to the place, the Commissioner said  such acts of hurting religious sentiments is wrong. He said  the special team led by DCP Hariram Shanker and ACP Ranjith Bandaru will   trace the culprits at the earliest. He also suggested that all religious places  install CCTV cameras.

When the Commissioner asked the Daivasthana Committee President Sunil as to why no CCTV Camera was installed, the local unit BJP Chief Chandrahas who was present, said even the  TMC building right in front of the place had no CC Camera.

On this occasion the local BJP unit also submitted a memorandum seeking measures to ensure such incidents do not recur.
