After several checkups, medical professionals determined that the bite was not from a snake and posed no life-threatening or poisonous risk, leading to her discharge after a few hours. Despite initial media reports suggesting a snake bite, this was later disproved.

In response, Palakkad Division authorities conducted a comprehensive inspection of the GS coach and the entire train, assisted by a professional snake catcher, to ensure passenger safety. No snakes or harmful insects were found during the search. The Palakkad Division of Southern Railway is issuing this statement to clarify the incident and reassure the public about the safety measures in place.
