Mangalore, June 16, 2012: A large number of people in India die because blood does not reach them in time in spite of the fact that a large number of people donate blood on a regular basis.

This is because blood cannot be used 30 - 45 days after it is extracted. A group of young people have therefore launched a website called www.smsindia4blood.com in a bid to reach out to people in need of blood all over the  country. 

People in need of blood only have to register at www.smsindia4blood.com and someone will contact them immediately. 

Any person in India who requires blood and is unable to find a donor can send a text message smsblood(space)name of the place(space)blood type and send it to 56767500. Immediately, they will receive the mobile numbers of three people willing to donate blood in their locality. 

Revealing the above details at a press conference held at Press Club today, Ananth Prabhu urged all people to visit www.smsindia4blood.com and register an account. The organization does not receive any donations from any body, but members of the public interested in extending their support can purchase T-shirts sold online in collaboration with advaitin.in.
