Udupi, December 13, 2024: Noted singer, Akashavani artiste B Krishna Karanth passed away at a hospital in Manipal on December 12, Thursday. He was 76 and is survived by his wife, two sons and a large number of admirers. Krishna Karanth was the brother of renowned theatrical personality Late B V Karanth. He was a former employee of Regional Research Centre of MGM College, Udupi.

His musical programmes and song cassettes were immensely popular. As a member of Rangabhoomi, Udupi he had also acted in many plays.
